aren't these saddle shoes cute..???
if i can find these here, i'll probably get these over oxfords.
but oxford-style heels are cute too :D

i made a list of books to buy, and shopping plans are non-exhaustive.
just need to get that couple of hundreds from mom ;)

a few years back i found a lovely song, i didnt know what band it was from so i saved it as coconut records. only today i found out that Coconut Records IS actually a band!!

it comes bursting out.
i'm really not brilliant, not special, not smart, not anything.
i never excelled in anything, i never finish most of what i started.
i'm your dull, perfectly average plain jane.
there, the biting truth.

you enslaven yourself to books and papers and all the nonsense that scarecly make any sense/ have any relevance to anything, to realise that you don't always reap what you sow, and this happens to be one of the times you shat in your face.

it's difficult to accept.

Here's something lovely and original!:

my long weekend was.... uneventful. it didn't even provide me with a very much needed rest, every piece of muscle is aching now.
didn't manage to meet up with most of my friends.. meh.
BOSSABALL was fun though, bounce bounce "oh yeah, uh huh, oh yeah...."
500 Days of Summer is my kind of indie movie! i can relate with Summer on many levels, of course i'm not as beautiful as her. oh and they have an awesome soundtrack!!
coming Monday is D-day all over again.. we're getting back our papers! hell might break loose. hmm. Goodluck guyssss

Since Chantal reminded me...
(i will upload each person's artwork on separate posts)

this is my 2008 'O' Level Art Paper 1 Coursework final piece :)

Theme: Stacked
Actual size: 157x121 cm
Medium: Oil paint on canvas, 7 bottles of turpentine, 4 bottles of oil, (a bit of thinner here and there;), approx. 6 months

not fantastic for all the time spent, of course i did not spend a full six months every minute everyday, it was a result of countless after schools and thank God i earned my A:) it was truly the roughest time in my four years at cedar, but i assure you: i loved and i hated; feelings fluctuating so volatile like alpha- wavelengths, but ultimately i couldn't hate what i was passionate for and every second i struggle the feelings were so real. they were so real.

i'm not being cliche, but it was entirely worthwhile. my fondest memories all revolve around the art room and my lovely bunch of arty farties!! these memories are forever branded in my mind, i miss not doing what inspires me!(my replacements cannot compare to the pushing and pulling of thick paint on whitened canvas) art somehow opens metaphorical windows in my mind, allowing me to feel interconnected with the beautiful world(of nature), adding overlapping layers of new dimensions to this dull place we too often take for granted...

this is the product of when boredom and panic drives 5 already mad artists to insanity:

haa ha ha this was our whiteboard.

study study study your ass off, and you still cannot shake off the crushing sense of impending doom.
it is too late to feel prepared, and the reality of being retained is smeared into our faces.
its simple, just do the math:
we have an initial intake of approximately 800 students.
our current j2 cohort comprises of approximately 600 students.
we have been told by the (reliable) v.president of student council that there were approximately 100 retainees last year.
now, you realize that the numbers do not correspond.
where did the other 100 students go..?
it's no mystery. they left.

we have only one shot, and no subsequent diagnostic tests to serve as a backup chance.
we promote, plead, or face the aftermath. the second option is not possible for me:(

anyhow, i am looking forward for a better life post-exams. (i'm sure we all are)
i'm getting a new sofa bed(yay!),
ly and i are going to take up something like yoga/pilates,
i want to bake stuff! (jedi maybe we can bake together)
i have already prepared a list of movies to watch,
and i have spoken to my mom about my holiday,
we're thinking Turkey, Egypt, Li Jiang in China(not too keen), or new Zealanddd..
sigh, maybe if i wasn't so petite she might allow me to travel alone/ with friends.

Photographs taken by Theodora Allen during her road trips urge me to get a good dslr!
here are some of my favourites:

can't wait to breathe in a different air, wake up to a foreign sight.
it's been a suicidal year.
